When following an atypical year, it's always a good idea to go into January 1st with a fresh start and a new tradition. Poetry can help us with that!
As such, for this month's contest, I invite the Why It Meters community to update that "monotonous" New Years Song, Auld Lang Syne, with one more fitting for the past year. There are no restrictions on form or meter, but the rhyme scheme and overall cadence should resemble a song. Submissions should be uploaded as a comment to this blog post or on one of Why It Meters' social media platforms by January 31st.
